Privacy Notice

Information You Submit

Terms Entered in Search Tools

When you type a name, place, or other term into a search box, the query is sent to the independent provider that operates that tool. Webster County Released Inmates does not keep or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider's privacy terms govern its handling of the query.

Messages Sent to Us

If you email or send a contact message, we keep the information needed to read and answer it. We do not share that message outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law or a valid legal process.

Technical Data Collected Automatically

Routine website systems may record limited technical information when a page loads. This data helps operate and maintain the service. It can include:

  • Your internet protocol address.
  • The browser name and version in use.
  • Device category, operating system, and related settings.
  • Pages opened and the time spent on them.
  • The referring website, when one is supplied.
  • The date and time of each request.

Cookie Controls

Cookies may be used to understand how visitors navigate the pages and to support site functions. Most browsers let you delete or block cookies. Some features may work differently or less reliably after cookies are disabled.

Purposes for Using Data

Collected information is used only for ordinary operational and service purposes, including:

  • Keeping pages available, stable, and responsive.
  • Sending a search request to the selected partner service.
  • Learning which sections are useful to visitors.
  • Finding errors, abuse, or technical faults.
  • Displaying advertising that may reflect general interests.

Websites and Services We Link

Links may lead to Webster sheriff and court pages, Georgia corrections and supervision tools, federal or immigration locators, release-record sources, and third-party search services. Once you leave this site, the destination's privacy policy and practices control its collection and use of data.

Advertising providers may use technology on their own systems to measure activity across websites and select interest-based advertising. That tracking is carried out by those providers, not within records kept by this site.

Parties That May Receive Data

We do not sell personal information. Limited data may be processed or disclosed to:

  • Search partners that receive and handle a submitted query.
  • Analytics providers that measure use and performance.
  • Advertising networks that deliver or assess ads.
  • Law-enforcement agencies or government bodies when a valid legal order requires disclosure.

Georgia's Open Records Act, O.C.G.A. ยง 50-18-70 et seq., governs requests to Georgia government agencies. It does not turn this privately operated site into a government records custodian.

Security Is Best Effort

We use customary administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to this type of website. No internet transmission, connected service, or storage method is fully secure. We therefore cannot promise that data will never be intercepted, lost, altered, or accessed without authorization.

Visitors Under Eighteen

This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a parent or guardian believes a minor submitted information, they may use the Contact Us page to request its deletion.

Your Privacy Choices

Subject to applicable law and our ability to identify the relevant record, you may ask to:

  • Receive a copy of personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct information that is inaccurate.
  • Delete information where erasure is legally available.
  • Opt out of certain processing where that right applies.

A request about an official Webster County, Georgia corrections, court, BOP, or ICE record must go to the agency that created it because this site does not control those records.

Changes to This Notice

We may revise this Privacy Notice as practices, services, or legal requirements change. An updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date, and continued use after posting is subject to the revised notice.
